About the Image(s)
his image was taken at the Zilker Botanical Gardens in Austin, Texas in September of 2017. It was partly cloudy and mid morning. I used a Canon 6D and the lens was a 70-300. The ISO was 160, shutter speed was 1/160, the f-stop was 8 and it was shot in RAW. I used a tripod. Using Photoshop Elements, I cropped in some, increased the saturation and contrast. I applied a vignette from One1.

The center flower is your subject i am guessing. I would therefore revoe the in focus near the bottom edge. You could also consider just a tighter crop. The color is great.   Posted: 10/06/2019 22:13:09

Very nice image, I would agree with Michael, I would blur out the flower at the bottom and te one on the right side.   Posted: 10/07/2019 14:13:35

Many thanks for all of your comments. I have never been satisfied with this image and the flowers at the bottom and right have bothered me too. I have cropped it many ways to strengthen that center flower but didn't consider blurring the others.   Posted: 10/07/2019 23:16:20
Awesome capture and downplaying the surrounding flowers will strengthen the photo overall as suggested by others.   Posted: 10/11/2019 17:17:19

I agree that the surrounding flowers do not enhance the subject in the center. Nice sharp detail and color.   Posted: 10/13/2019 12:30:58
