About the Image(s)

This photo is of the Golden Temple in Amritsar,India. I took it in 1979, with a Minolta 101 and a 20mm lens. I was using kodachrome 64. I recently had the slide scanned and then I processed the scan using photoshop

Kodachrome 64. Wow. It was worth it to scan the slide. This is a great, personally historic image.
Minor suggestions. The commercial sign in the center is annoying to the composition, and the PS processing seems a bit too bright and color-enhanced--at least to me.   Posted: 10/03/2019 18:36:37

Thanks. For sure I agree about the sign depending upon the category. It cannot be removed in documentary for example.   Posted: 10/03/2019 19:02:50

This scene is definitely magical and I like what you did in processing. I look at it and wonder what you would get if standing in that same spot today. Can I ask what you used to scan the slide?   Posted: 10/06/2019 21:28:40

I sent the slide into Scan Cafe. I should add that very few of my old slide photos can compare to digital photos.   Posted: 10/06/2019 22:07:10

Nice Picture. It looks like a three dimensional image.sharp and the reflections on the water makes the whole picture pop.
I purchased a unit called "Wolverine". ,which converts slide to digital. It does a nice job.   Posted: 10/07/2019 13:59:38

Michael,

I have enjoyed your image. The details and various colors throughout the buildings have held my attention. I especially like the reflections in the water and the dramatic sky.   Posted: 10/07/2019 22:53:47

I like this image. I immediately thought it looks like it belongs in a fairy tale book. I wouldn't change it. The colors and detail pop.   Posted: 10/13/2019 12:34:40
