About the Image(s)

I took an image of a strange fungus growing on rotting wood.
I thought it looked quite lacy so then I scanned an old doily and added it to the fungus, leaving the ends the same.
I then added a filter forge cloudy filter to the image
Finally I added a black frame and used Nik colour Efex solarisation filter on the image.

I really like the fog at the edges. Hearing about the process whereby you take this fungus into a jewel like substance is fun. It is an interesting image but I find it hard to engage with as there isn't a message or a flow.   Posted: 06/01/2018 15:19:53

I like the imagination and the jeweled effect. The edges and fog are effective. The top left/middle vignette bothers me as it makes it look muddy as compared to the jewels and the rest of the image. Impressed that you started with that fungus and yielded that end result!   Posted: 06/01/2018 16:27:43
