About the Image(s)

We were holidaying in South America some years back when I noticed these two jugs sitting against a wall. They were the only thing that was there. I wondered what the story was as the woven basket around them looked so battered, and they looked so abandoned.
I have changed the image to monochrome and wonder what you think.

hey Julie, I really like your image. I sort of liked the color version best, so i opened it in PS and cropped just a little off the left and did all my editing and my back and white version looked almost the same as yours except I added som texture and clarity and the jugs were a little more shiny. Then I added a vignette and I ended up liking your black and white version the best. That is a keeper that I would have framed somewhere in my house. Nice job.   Posted: 05/01/2022 14:14:18

An interesting still life image. I find the monochrome version a little too "speckley" and prefer the original image will it's muted tones.   Posted: 05/05/2022 23:43:50

Nice image well seen. I prefer the colour version, the mono is a bit too "flat" for my taste but the muted colours of the colour are attractive. I think it was right to chop the righthand strand off the margin.   Posted: 05/06/2022 05:25:56

Nice Julie! I like the color version better. The orange of the ledge and green vase really complement each other. The texture of the other vase really tells the story of a finished jug. What a find that needs to hang on your wall!!   Posted: 05/17/2022 14:36:03

I really like the image, but I also like it in color because in black and white the background takes dominance. The muted tones of the aged glass has a strong appeal to me.   Posted: 05/23/2022 09:26:30
