October 2018 - Beamer 268

About the Image(s)

This was taken on a cold, dull day at the Cadwell Park Circuit, Lincolnshire. Not much post-processing here, just a slight crop. 1/400th at f7.1, ISO 640, using a 600mm FF equivalent lens. I wanted to get a panning effect but the bikes were moving so fast that it was difficult to get a sharp image with slower shutter speeds. This is about the best.

Andrew, great capture of intensity and motion. The cropping is perfect and the out of focus background make the rider stand out. There isn't a thing I would change.   Posted: 10/07/2018 20:05:26

Wow this is a fantastic capture. I love the way the background is blurred so you can tell he is moving fast yet the rider is very clear. I can't think of anything that could be changed. Nice job!   Posted: 10/07/2018 20:38:59

My first impression was WOW. Now, after reading Curtis' and Henry's comments, I have to agree with them...I wouldn't change anything. I love the orange splash among the greys and greens. Nice!   Posted: 10/13/2018 06:45:06

It is nicely freezing the moving motorbike. I have tried to took similar image in moving bicycle. A panning effect would add more intense dynamic of the moving object.   Posted: 10/25/2018 00:40:48

Very nice catch. If you slow your shutter speed just a little bit, you will get some blur on the bike to show more speed. It is nice frozen too.   Posted: 10/29/2018 08:46:12
