About the Image(s)

This was taken near McCall, in central Idaho on a heavy overcast winter day. Shot with Nikon Z6ii with a 24-120 Nikon lens at 24mm, f8, 1/200, ISO 400. Processed in Photoshop ACR and did some light dodging and burning.

Well composed with the fence leading in, around the tree and then to the barn. There is good balance between the barn and tree. Sharp details in the tree and barn make them pop and create interest and impact. A strong image.

Couple things I see, the conversion to B&W went a little gray from the white in the color version and there are some sensor spots in the sky. I circled them in red.   Posted: 03/13/2023 10:13:28

Really like the composition, the triangle with the fence, the tree and the barn. The fence leads the look, it is even 2 sides of the triangles.
The branches of the tree are sharp.
The B&W version works better, due to the better contrast of the different element (specially the tree).   Posted: 03/13/2023 15:50:01

The B/W image really is a better image. Good balance from left right. I really like the bottom right hand corner. Great editing.

I do see some of the spots that Dave pointed out. But I really can not find all that he circled?

Keep up the great work Ken.

You have captured the scene well and have good tone. The tree, farm building and back fence has good relationship and good line, but I fine the front fence a bit of a black, so what would have happened if you walked up to the fence a took the picture again?   Posted: 03/20/2023 06:52:57
