About the Image(s)

A walk in the park with a shot that tells a story. Schools Closed for the year and no children around with the stay at home lockdown. I wear a mask and gloves and stay at least 10 feet away from other walkers. Patience that the scientist will have the finial say on how things will come back together for the best of all people.

Can't tell the story better than this. The sign is stark B&W and stands out to tell the story of the empty playground.

Very sad days, although they are starting to open up a bit here. The trails and parks here have been open, I go to a national wildlife refuge about 25 miles from me, there is a 7 mile loop we can drive and never get out of the car. I only get out of the car when I find new spring flowers to shoot but don't get near anyone.   Posted: 05/02/2020 12:51:54

The Title should have been:

"A Sign of the Times 2020"   Posted: 05/02/2020 13:03:44

Great shot for the current time. If you could have shown more of the empty park it might have increased the 'empty' mood. The light, the tones, and the contrast are wonderful.   Posted: 05/02/2020 13:36:22

Thanks. I agree.   Posted: 05/04/2020 10:19:52

Perfect for these times. Getting the exclusion tape around the slide is a plus. Great contrast.   Posted: 05/02/2020 22:06:23

I feel this is a very powerful image especially for these times. The B/W treatment adds to the feeling of the image. However I feel that adding more of the park to show how empty it is would add to the power of the image.   Posted: 05/03/2020 14:59:00

Very apt image. The sign board is clear and I agree with Jerry on the title. I would have preferred more of the park to be shown, though it is clear no one is there. Still very nice and perfect for the current scenario.   Posted: 05/10/2020 03:24:44

This is a picture of our time and would be seen worldwide, unfortunately over here the one thing missing is the one silly parent sitting on the seat with a child on the slide, or three teenagers drinking beer.
Very well taken with great tones and spot-on detail, I would have lifted the camera a touch a tilted down so you got a touch more separation with the slide.   Posted: 05/17/2020 06:24:34

Not necessary to place a date for the picture...
Enough space around the panel? This is your choice.   Posted: 05/26/2020 01:28:57
