About the Image(s)
During my walk through the bylanes of the historical city of Jodhpur in India, I came across this small boy looking from behind a door which was half shut. I found the boy was curious on why I was taking the photographs of the empty street with just a stray dog sleeping! After taking my street shot, I turned towards the boy and smiled. I thought at first he will close the door and disappear from sight. But he kept on looking at me. This made me decide that I have to be quick. Without looking at him I changed from the prime 50mm lens to my old faithful 24-105mm F4 lens. Prepared my camera specs on intuition and felt that I should give it a try to click the boy in his natural state without him being alarmed. To my surprise the boy kept on looking at me. First I took the shot at max 105mm and gradually came closer with gentle steps all the time smiling and making sure that I did not frighten him. I kept on clicking as I closed on for a tight shot ( one meter distance from camera) at 58mm that would present the emotion as well as scenario. I kept the boy in the rule of third trying to give more space to the door for perspective. The image was converted in PS5 to mono. A thin pixel stroke was added. Camera Canon 5DMk2, Lens 24-105mm at 58mm.

Very nice picture and thank a lot for the description of how you took the picture. I was living the scene when reading. Thank you for that.
Special treatment. We like it or not, but it has the advantage to be special and different of what we usually see. Well done.
The look of the child is strong and just in your objective.   Posted: 06/21/2018 03:11:50
