Lapland SAMI Festival by Gabriele Dellanave, PPSA, BPSA

April 2021 - Lapland SAMI Festival

About the Image(s)

This image was taken last year in February before all world, myself included, went on a lock dow. The SAMI are the native inhabitants of a wast land above the Arctic Circle , that spans from Norway to Russia going through Sweden and Finland. The Festival is celebrated every year the first week of February. I used a Lumix G9 camera with a Vario 12-60 at f/4-1/160. ISO 200. PP processing PS/LRc and Viveva/Dfine for the final touch.

I think this is a good travel image that captures the event. For me, a tighter crop, darkening the sky, some dodging and burning and maybe flipping it horizontally could work.   Posted: 04/07/2021 22:41:36

Gabriel, I think this is a very nice image which conveys the feeling of the Festival, very colorful and tells a story. I also like the way Art edited it.   Posted: 04/11/2021 12:25:53
