Resting Red knots ~ by Marge Barham
Happy New Year and Happy New Decade everyone! Good wishes to you all!

Taken earlier this year I came across these resting birds on the shoreline. Nothing really great about this photo except I had never seen them before and I love how one is peeking at me. Taken with my Canon 80D and my Canon 100-400 lens. My settings were f8, 1/2500 and ISO 800.

I like these guys and how they seem to keeping an eye on you. I like the exposure and the color. For me they seem a bit soft so I sharpened them a bit. I also cropped out the guy one side so that there is an odd number of subjects and you can't see his face.   Posted: 01/17/2020 22:24:44

Actually I personally like better the image without cutting anything, I do not know but it seams to me that the composition I more finished the the image of the only 4 birds. Ia anything I would have a little bit more space around so the animals would have more space to play in. Good job Marge.   Posted: 01/18/2020 10:19:21

Gabriele, thank you. I am leaning to keeping the six birds in the group.   Posted: 01/21/2020 13:45:04
