About the Image(s)

Happy New Year dear Fellows Shutterbugs.
For my first image of 2020 I chose an image taken on the little know island of Malta, a little beautiful island located in the middle of Mediterranean Sea, 90 miles South of the more popular island of Sicily. This little known island is a photo shooting bonanza. I suggest to all a visit of 3-4 days. From Italy you can find really low-cost airfares and very short flights. Weather is beautiful, people friendly and food and lodging at reasonable prices.
Data for this image: camera Lumix DC-G9; lens Vario Elmarit 12-60mm @33mm = 66mm in full format. Post-processing cropping, contrast, exposure etc. with PS-LR and a few final touches with Viveza 2.

I think that you have captured the feeling of Malta, very complex. I like the colors, textures and shapes. I cropped it a bit and warmed it up to capture the feel of the Mediterranean sunshine.   Posted: 01/17/2020 21:49:39

There is so much to look at in this beautiful photo. So many layers on top of layers. Texture on top of texture. Very interesting! I love the curve leading my eye right into the city. Well done Gabriele!
