Wonderful shot and framing, and a dramatic angle of the wings.
I find the background distracting, even though it is blurred, especially the color change from earth tones to sky tones. Would you consider changing the background?   Posted: 10/07/2019 13:27:50

Thank you Stephen and welcome to the group. On wild life photos one can not change any elements except by cropping.   Posted: 10/14/2019 08:28:33

Yes, of course, I understand the restriction. Our Group 32 is not so restricted. We would readily change backgrounds, but not for competition in restricted categories like yours, or photojournalism.   Posted: 10/14/2019 10:41:04

Another dynamic compositions and dramatic capture. I like the colors and the sharp details of course. The whites seem to lack some detail. I used the adjustment brush in RAW to bring out some more detail and the burn tool which I believe are allowed in nature competitions.   Posted: 10/08/2019 22:59:14

This image is another of Gerard masterpieces. A stunning image considering the position of the bird, the speed of its flight and many other considerations. I think that the background is, yes a little distracting , but as Gerard says with wild life WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). In any case I do not think that lighting up the back ground it would not break the PSA rules on Nature.   Posted: 10/17/2019 11:37:34

Beautiful Gerhard! You were certainly ready for him with your shutter speed at 1/3200 and your ISO3200. And the +.33 lightened up the wings nicely. Perfect angle too. It looks like he is busy hunting. Great job!
