Ballon Rise Over Cappadocia by Art Jacoby

October 2019 - Ballon Rise Over Cappadocia

About the Image(s)

Here is my photo. It is titled Balloon Rise Over Cappadocia. It was taken several years ago. I used a Nikon D40 with an 18-55mm lens at 38mmm f/110.0, 1/100, ISO 200 in RAW, processed with Adobe CC. I did a bit of work on the tones and colors.

The morning light is wonderful. I particularly like the highest balloon on the right, whose stripes seems to be a continuation of the stripes in the clouds.
One suggestion, if in Cappadocia, it would be even better to have included more of the geology that the balloon riders are going to see.   Posted: 10/07/2019 00:38:09

Art my monitor is normally giving to me images too bright, but here I think your image is a bit too dark. I know that in these situations where you have half of the photogram is bright and the other half is dark it is really hard to adjust the brightness equally on all the image, I tried to do that. But I do not like the image suggest by Levitas member, it did upset the entire image. Instead I like the warm morning light, the soft colors and the composition you chose. Good job Art.   Posted: 10/17/2019 11:58:11

Now that must have been a fun trip! I see you went up in a balloon also. Good for you! Not sure if I am ready to fly in a balloon.
I love the colors of your photo. I appears to be early morning with the nice warm sky. The composition is great and keeps my eye moving. Well done Art!
