About the Image(s)
I captured this great egret in Naples Florida in mid-January. I have been working on birds in flight and it can be very challenging. Processed in Lightroom and Topaz Photo AI. Converted to monochrome in Silver EFX Pro. Nikon Z9, 400mm, 1/3200 sec at f5/6.

This image is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing. Monochrome sure makes the Great Egret "pop". Along with detailing the feather in the wings, the bird appears to be in a 3-D format. My only critique would be to soften the two "twigs" that are hanging down in the upper left hand corner of the photo.   Posted: 03/02/2023 12:03:14
Hi Howard: Well, Ricarda said everything I wanted to say. This is a beautiful image of a bird in flight. I agree the small twigs in the top are distracting. B&W was a great choice, and the bird does look sharp and in 3D. Gorgeous.   Posted: 03/11/2023 13:44:17
Howard, overall this is a fantastic image. It is clear and sharp and the B&W add to the beauty of the egret. Simply fantastic.   Posted: 03/11/2023 20:34:06
Beautiful! You certainly captured this bird-in-flight. The the detail of the whole thing feathers, eye, and against the dark background softened by your shallow D of F, all excellent. Yes, thank you for sharing.

Great capture. The details of the bird and the feathers are excellent. I agree that the background twigs are little bit distracting. I like the B&W conversion also.   Posted: 03/31/2023 10:56:06
