March 2020 - Exit Left

About the Image(s)

I have recently changed from Canon to Nikon and this is from one of my practice sessions. The Little Egrets have a habit of chasing after little fish and make great subjects but this one had enough of me so exited left. The image was cropped heavily. with a little sharpening and exposure adjustments.
Data: Nikon D850, Nikon 500PF 5.6 prime, 1/4000, f9. iso320, spot metering.

Talk about "SHARP" - wow (even considering heavy cropping) - not only that, the exposure is 'spot-on' as well. You need no more 'practice sessions' - based on this image, it's 'prime-time' time!   Posted: 03/12/2020 13:04:05

Its a great capture, well exposed and has much of the details to see and admire.   Posted: 03/20/2020 22:33:13

The egret is very sharp and the legs add a great color contrast to the shot. Nice capture.   Posted: 03/21/2020 08:15:00

Beautiful capture. The egret is very sharp, details, and well exposed. I would suggest darkening the background a little more.   Posted: 03/22/2020 16:06:11

Wonderful action shot. Great color and detail. Welcome to the right side (Nikon vs Cannon - grin)

Have you played with the texture slider in Lightroom or Photoshop? It brings out even more detail in the feathers.   Posted: 03/23/2020 11:15:58

Where is the texture slider in PS? Maybe my CC2018 is too old?   Posted: 03/24/2020 23:14:46

This is a wonderful capture! Grace and power plus excellent detail on that beautiful wing. Sharp throughout. The softness of the blue background sets it off well.   Posted: 03/24/2020 23:20:39
