Lyrical Lines by Helen Sweet

November 2019 - Lyrical Lines

About the Image(s)

I photographed Ron Arad's Design Museum in Holon, Israel about four years ago. It was colorful, like our Golden Gate Bridge's international orange, but what drew me was the stunning architecture. Some time ago I played with it, unintentionally shrinking it and losing its metadata in the process. Not even sure which camera I used, much less the settings. Cannot find the original, so, using what I had, I converted to high key, which makes it soft and pleasing to me. See another version at Group 34.

The lines and patterns are very interesting and thought-provoking. Like the composition as well, and the perspective. I'll have a look at Group34 as well. You certainly softened it up quite a bit, but I wonder if more detail would have added additional interest.   Posted: 11/17/2019 12:07:05

Thank you, Gunter. My intention was to make it high key. I seem to have missed the mark as evidenced by comments here and at my club.   Posted: 11/19/2019 10:33:44

I really like what you did with this image. The soft shapes, lines and textures are great.   Posted: 11/17/2019 12:32:32

Very interesting composition of lines and curves, but to me these are very soft.   Posted: 11/19/2019 08:48:28
