About the Image(s)

I was at the Renaissance Faire this summer and they have several folks dressed up as mythic characters. Taken with my Nikon D500 and Tamron 24 to 70 lens at 70mm, F 2.8 for shallow depth of field, 1/1000 and ISO 400.

I like the shallow depth of field, the variety of textures, the autumnal coloring. Interesting subject, and I'm glad you were able to capture a portrait of her looking intensely off camera rather than directly at you. Was this a candid shot? Her eyes are nicely sharp; could you add catch lights?   Posted: 11/06/2019 15:52:16

Really like this portrait quite a lot. The colours and textures are very interesting. As well, its nice and sharp. I think I would have preferred the model looking into the lens, to get more of a connection with the photographer, but not a big deal.   Posted: 11/17/2019 12:01:03

Well captured. Agreed with Helen that you did well as the subject is not looking into the camera. Her pleasing expressions add interest to the portrait.   Posted: 11/19/2019 08:46:14

Beautiful portrait and colors. The image is quite sharp. The textures of the tree and the girl's cloth are interesting and beautiful also. I think you can further enhance the images by adding a vignette effect.   Posted: 11/19/2019 23:04:04
