Cape Sugarbirds by Grace Bryant, QPSA

October 2019 - Cape Sugarbirds

About the Image(s)

On a trip to South Africa last year we stayed at a lodge on the Breede River where the Cape Sugarbirds were in large numbers and always fighting over the feeders. It was an amazing photographic experience and such fun.
Data: Canon 5DIV, canon lens 300mm f2.8L IS II plus 1.4 III extender at 420mm, 1/500, f10, iso 1600.

Amazing image Grace. I love the simplicity of the environment as well as the detail and sharpness of the birds.   Posted: 10/21/2019 18:26:54

A great 'bird-picture' - love everything about it. It's obviously very sharp, and the composition is very effective, however the highlight for me is the exposure of the bird in front - especially the highlights on the chest. Also very much like the positions of the 2 birds.   Posted: 10/21/2019 19:17:31

Great capture. Very sharp and very nice foreground and background. Two birds look better than a single bird.   Posted: 10/27/2019 21:29:56
