Crossing Sutlej by Subhash Sapru, APSA, PPSA

August 2019 - Crossing Sutlej

About the Image(s)

The image was made one fine morning near Ludhiana in Punjab State. I found some people crossing the mighty river Sutlej and made this image in low light, but hand held. I had Nikon D800 and Tamron 24-70 mm f/2.8.
This image was accepted and published in YOUR SHOT of the National Geographic

Wonderful, moody shot Subhash. The fog and your positioning make this image one to study. The shapes and curves make the eye move around and through it.   Posted: 08/17/2019 13:04:35

WOW, what a beautiful image - love everything about it, especially the mood created. The colours are amazing, and the composition extremely strong. Would not change a thing - another picture I would have on my wall.   Posted: 08/21/2019 14:20:19

You have seen and used the fog to create a subdued and moody landscape with the people crossing the river as a great point of interest. The waves of subtle colours provide a nice harmony within the image. Well seen, well done, a great image.   Posted: 08/27/2019 01:26:40
