About the Image(s)

Took this image with my Olympus E-M1, 1/125, f8, ISO100, 40mm, Tripod. Post processing in RAW Conversion, Elements, Topaz Studio plug-in.
Scene from a walk through a nature reserve near home. Like the tranquil setting. Added a bit of a "painterly" touch to add to the overall mood of the subject.

Nothing more than a peaceful scene gives one the feeling of tranquillity. You have a good S-curve in the water and although I am not a devotee of painterly effects it does add here to the overall image. I can't see anything to add/change. Nicely done.   Posted: 08/14/2019 18:49:01

nice lines, shapes and colors. I'm not sure that this Topaz plugin works well with this image. I'm curious as to what the original looks like.   Posted: 08/17/2019 13:09:29

Very soothing colours and an interesting image. The painterly effect has worked nicely.   Posted: 08/19/2019 10:56:57

Great capture and post-processing. Looks like a painting. I would crop out some of the trees on the right side of the picture as the dark area on the upper right-handed side of the image seems too large.   Posted: 08/20/2019 17:24:34

The painterly effect grounds us in the front greenery the softens my travels back thru the image, wanting to explore the hidden area to the right.   Posted: 08/23/2019 17:47:03

Because I like the colours and the textures on the left of this image, I would crop it vertical with 1/3 off the right hand side which I feel gives more attention to the water and its meandering flow. I have never used the painterly effect on anything but my mind questions if it would look better if it looked even more like a painting. Such a nice concept.   Posted: 08/27/2019 01:59:41
