Flower Study by Gunter Haibach

March 2019 - Flower Study

About the Image(s)

This is a flower study, shot in my studio (=Dining Room), natural window light, using a tripod. f5.6, 60mm lens, ISO200, 1 second shutter speed. Multiple exposures, using Focus Stacking technique. Post processing in RAW Conversion, Elements, Topaz Studio plug-in.
Attempted to capture an old-time feel, with much of the colours and textures removed. Your comments/suggestions appreciated, as always.

Gunter, your processing on this is beautiful. As are the lighting, flowers and containers. You've really achieved a delicate, old timey look. I would, however, prefer a pyramidical composition as in the traditional art.   Posted: 03/02/2019 06:08:29

I think you have achieved the look of an older style of photograph. The details are very fine, the arrangement of elements works. The subtle hint of pink has the look of hand tinted colour of old.   Posted: 03/20/2019 14:11:49

Good capture of an interesting arrangement. The detail and feel of the image are great. The vignetting really helps to keep the eye focused on the subject.   Posted: 03/21/2019 09:19:05
