In October 2010, I was at one of my favorite places to take photos, Mono Lake, California. This morning sunrise was spectacular with the snow, Tufa formations and the reflection of the morning colors. I liked the way the Tufa and the snow pulled the viewers eye into the photo. The calm waters in the front with the wonderful reflection of the sunrise morning clouds.

A lot of wonderful colors here, Richard. Liked the complimentary colors in the horizon. This together with the clear reflections and the snow scattered around raised it to a high level picture.   Posted: 10/09/2018 06:35:11

The colors really pop in this image. I like the position of the rocks and that you have a way for the eye to escape between the rocks into the open water. My only suggestion is to crop just a smidge (technical term) off the top - just down to above where the clouds are showing color. This also moves the horizon more above the center of the image. You nicely managed the light level at the bottom of the image - it is dark enough for detail but keeps the eye from dwelling there.   Posted: 10/11/2018 14:26:53

Wow, the colour has so much impact. The layers of texture, colour and reflections really work well. Good job...   Posted: 10/14/2018 20:56:10
