<br />Photo was taken while on a trip to Yosemite National Park in March 2017. I liked the way the tree on the left and the mountain on the right framed the falls. The river added a little reflection of the bank. I processed it in Bridge and made further adjustments in Photoshop CC.

I agree with you on using the trees to frame the edges. The stream, tree line and mountains yield a nice foreground, middle and background to the image. Like your treatment of the sky, the exposure highlighting the mountains, and the sharpness of the image (love the Canon 24-105 lens). The time of day seems to complement the texture of the mountains. What would I do differently - darned if I know other than maybe pulling out the red/orange color in the mountains a bit more.   Posted: 06/03/2018 19:14:36

I agree with Michael, particularly in terms of the red/orange colour in the mountains. The sky looks good contrasting the peaks.   Posted: 06/07/2018 20:27:48

Very nice image, Richard. Not sure there is much of anything I would suggest here other than what was already said about bringing out some of the tones in the rock a bit more.   Posted: 06/10/2018 14:39:43

Beautiful capture of an iconic view of Yosemite. Well composed and porperly exposed for a landscape shot!   Posted: 06/10/2018 14:43:36

Nice image of the mountain and the waterfall. Great composition. I agree on the left side of the tree to frame it, but I would crop it a little bit so it doesn't get too distracted.

There seems a little yellow cast to the entire image, here is my attempt:
* very little straightening
* remove yellow cast using white balance
* crop a little on the left
* adjust tone curve very slightly

A very well done picture. It makes me want to go there and take my own picture. May be slightly more golden mountains as Michael suggests and perhaps boost the green trees a bit.   Posted: 06/11/2018 13:48:12
