About the Image(s)

An old farm in the East Bay area of San Francisco was turned into a historical museum showing what a farm in the 1800s looked like. For me it was good for infrared photography. These two fences that converged at a gate appealed as the tree in the background filled what could have been an empty space. I opened the image in P/S where it was converted to b/w using the sliders to get what I wanted in tonality. Then Contrast was added as was Burning the edges and other bright areas. Incidentally, I experimented the b/w conversion in both Skylum Neo, Luminar 4 and Topaz Studio and none were better than P/S.

I would love to see more of the 'farm', as it sounds interesting historically. To create more of a subject, I would crop some of the fence extension from the right side to create more of a triangle which would be your subject.   Posted: 03/08/2023 10:26:07

Very nice, I like the way the lines of the fence lead you up into the image.   Posted: 03/20/2023 08:38:19

The composition is nice but I would like to see some dark cloudy sky over the scene for added dramatics.   Posted: 03/20/2023 09:06:23
