About the Image(s)

This image was made in mid-July at an exhibit farm run by the University of Arkansas. I have always thought this meadow was beautiful. This was an overcast day so I used ISO 800, f/8 and made 3 exposures. The longest one was 1/25 sec. and the shortest 1/160 sec. The HDR was created in NIK HDR Pro2. I did the channel swap in PS then did my standard workflow of settng white and black points, tweaking contrast and clarity before beginning targeted adjustments. I thought the soft pastel tones contributed to the tranquil feeling of the scene. Any suggestions for improvement you can give me will be appreciated.

This is absolutely beautiful and extremely tranquil. I like the composition with the little stream leading the eye into the scene to not only enjoy the trees in the foreground but also those in the background. The color tonality really makes it as the soft colors are very pleasing and compliment all the trees.   Posted: 11/13/2019 08:01:26

A very restful and delicate image done with your usual excellent quality of workmanship. I do like the winding diagonal line which might be a stream? leading in from the bottom right past the trees and through to the far trees.the centre tree is very stately and I like it central flanked by the others at either side. Lovely. Can't fault it in any way.   Posted: 11/17/2019 04:01:51

Hello Sharon,
I am visiting from a different group and happened upon this one. Your image is beautiful and striking especially due to the composition and colors. Have you tried a horizontal flip, having the stream enter the image in the lower-left instead of the lower right. It might or might not be an improvement on an already really lovely image. This would be a wall-hanger for me!   Posted: 11/20/2019 03:50:09

Another striking and lovely image from you. As usual for your work it is very crisp and sharp. The colour of the sky is beautiful which helps to make the trees stand out. The small stream helps to lead the eye through the trees to the background. I cannot suggest any improvements.   Posted: 11/20/2019 07:51:25
