For some of us it is the middle of winter and summer is a long way away, so I thought a nice reminder of summer garden would suit for this month, I like getting down low with the flower getting what I call card shots, this I quite like owing to the informality of it, but you are held by those two orange heads. Hope it brings a touch of brightness to you. Happy New year.

Very sharp and beautiful colors. Sometimes two subjects work, but in this instance I think you have one that pops out at me. Cropping to the left flower would reduce clutter and still give us the color you want. Excellent timing as it is raining monstrously here in the northwest US.   Posted: 01/08/2020 11:40:47

I agree with Bob. I think the original photo doesn't have enough focus. The cropped image focuses on the gorgeous colors and sharp details that you captured of that flower.   Posted: 01/08/2020 23:02:00

Yep. What they said. Less is (says) more. Here is another crop suggestion.   Posted: 01/10/2020 22:20:02

Lovely scene. Yes, one or three still holds interest better. I especially like Bob's crop. I love the texture of these coreopsis. Really lovely. You have a good eye to seperate this from the patch of flowers.   Posted: 01/12/2020 21:24:06

Good format with very nice colours. I like the sharp flowers in the foreground and the great blurred flowers in the background. The stem under the flower on the left with the two stump irritates a little. If it was shortened to expose the flower, I would have removed the stem lower down. Also, I would have given the flower on the right a little more space so that its flower on the right is not trimmed.   Posted: 01/15/2020 04:15:51
