About the Image(s)
This months submersion is called "Resistance' It was one of the last film images I made before going digital. Image was made on Tri-x, processed in HC110, Zone system normal development. Field 4x5 view camera with 300 mm Nikon lens. That's all I remember. The negative was scanned with an Epson V750 Pro. Processed in Photoshop and Silver effect Pro as an RGB image. Since the mode was changed to RGB I could use Nik CEP to enhance contrast. RGB image sharpened with a high pass filter.

Hi Ed: Double W O W !! or should I say Wow Wee! I like your composition very much, the rock is tack sharp, beautifully exposed and, to my eye, you got the shutter speed right. I can almost hear the water splashing and running against that rock. Your image is a real winner in my view..   Posted: 02/07/2021 07:07:43

Ed - the image is full of dynamism - I like it very much. Composition, shutter speed and DOF all spot on and well processed.   Posted: 02/09/2021 05:33:49
What a great image.
Like many photographers I am always drawn to such subjects.
This image is just about perfect.
I have many exhibition acceptances from such subjects and if this was mine it would be in my next entry!   Posted: 02/10/2021 04:41:07

A compelling image. It's not often I see images of water in b&w that are well-done. This one has great features and shows the movement of water very well.   Posted: 02/25/2021 08:38:51
