About the Image(s)

I am reaching back a few years for this image. Technical: Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III, EF 24-70 mm lens at 34mm, ISO 320, f/22 at 1/200. The image was converted in Nik SEP 2. I processed for high contrast then dodged selected areas to bring out some detail. I unfortunately I don't remember much more since the image was made in 2012.

Ed - a pleasing rural landscape nicely composed with the strong lead in of the track taking the eye up to the farm buildings. I like the foreground - the cattle grid anchors the base and is nicely contained by the timber barriers. Good detail throughout the darker tones and the sky has not been over processed.   Posted: 01/06/2021 04:38:09

Ed, as with last month's image, this reminds me of a walk made pre lockdown!
I would echo Peter's comments.   Posted: 01/08/2021 05:16:43

HI Ed: I like your composition very much which leads me right to the houses in the background. To my eye, your image appears just a bit flat and would consider a curves and levels adjustments.   Posted: 01/08/2021 21:23:19

Thank you Ella. I will see what happens if I increase contrast a bit.   Posted: 01/09/2021 11:10:04

Well done Ed, this reminds me of the low rolling hills of the prairie in the midwest.   Posted: 01/11/2021 10:21:24

As mentioned above, a very pleasant image. Great range of tones, and very sharp.   Posted: 01/16/2021 15:02:38
