May 2020 - South America

About the Image(s)

The photo was taken in Patagonia. The image was taken with 70-200 mm lens f20, 64 ISO, and 10 ND filter. It was opened in lightroom, basic changes made, then cropped. The image was then converted to b/w. I was originally looking for a long exposure of the sunrise, to incorporate the clouds and colours, however, the sun did not co-operate that morning.

Hi Paul - the mountains of Patagonia are very impressive and, as usual, you have captured their majesty. Good balance between the peaks and a little drama in the sky adds to the image.   Posted: 05/08/2020 04:37:08

Thanks Peter. I neglected to mention that it was a 72 second exposure, I was trying to get that soft effect in the clouds.   Posted: 05/08/2020 07:24:46

I have watched s video by Art Wolfe recently and, consequently, for me this image shouts Patagonia and makes me want to go there ASAP.
Unfortunately that is impossible at present.

Very well composed, photographed and photographed.   Posted: 05/11/2020 04:09:54
