About the Image(s)
A similar image, in fact the next frame in the sequence, has had a salon acceptance in a City Life section in colour.
However, I now think this is better the better image.
On the same coach holiday as my October image.
I took no "serious" gear with me, just a little compact camera.
Image made September 18th at Southport.
Sony HX90V 27.16mm (35mm equivalent 159mm) 1/160 @ f8.
Cropped to remove distracting road markings and shadows, then resized in Gimp.
Mono conversion in Silver Efex Pro with default setting.

John - it's a cracker! This was your Cartier Bresson moment! How you managed to capture the couple walking behind the seat so centrally I will never know. I like the symmetry - the two guys on the seat both facing outwards and both engrossed in their reading matter. No real distractions in the image, but if it were mine and if it were permissible I would clone out the letters (T,S) behind the RH column and maybe slightly reduce the brightness of the column and maybe reduce the brightness of the lower part of the poster below the guy with the untied bow tie too.
A great capture!   Posted: 01/02/2019 11:04:50

John: I like your image very much as it is... it really tells a story and think your title is so appropriate.   Posted: 01/02/2019 13:01:58

Hello John. good vision and timing. Perhaps a bit of dodging of the passing coupe would help them stand out a little more.   Posted: 01/08/2019 16:27:16
Hi, John!
I agree completely with the previous comments. The result was a very interesting story.
Peter commented: "I would clone out the letters (T,S) behind the RH column and maybe slightly reduce the brightness of the column and maybe reduce the brightness of the lower part of the poster below the guy with the untied bow tie too." - +1 from me too.
Ed commented: "a bit of dodging of the passing coupe would help them stand out" - +1 from me too.
It may also make sense to remove the inscription above the head of a man who is sitting on the right - "LESTURE".   Posted: 01/09/2019 06:47:06
