Hi Rashid: To my eye, the focal point is on the tomato, but, if I did not read your description, I would not have known it was a tomato. The tomato and row of eggs seem to be in focus while the rest of the image appears soft. The subject lacks impact and does not seem to work for me.   Posted: 02/09/2018 19:30:42

Hi Rashid
I think it appears slightly soft because it was shot on film and then scanned the scan can take away some of the definition good idea people tend to scan a picture not look properly and think box of eggs you have to study this to spot the tomato as Ella has already said I knew one of the items was not an egg but was not sure what it was I would have put it the other way up to show it was a tomato if in monochrome I think this would e a really good colour image, very clever image.   Posted: 02/12/2018 14:30:14

Interesting idea. This idea would be interesting if only the tomato was in color.   Posted: 02/15/2018 20:30:04

An interesting idea which can be pursued.
That the tomato is a tomato does not really matter; the fact that it differs from the eggs is the point.
It may be worth scanning the negative again with different settings.   Posted: 02/19/2018 04:14:30

Raschid - I have to admit that I am not attracted to your image in any way in terms of subject matter, impact and interest. To my eye the tomato could well be a larger egg and in this respect the colour version would be more effective. However I find it hard to live with the narrow depth of field, especially the out of focus foreground. With hindsight the use of focus stacking would have been beneficial here, but overall the image holds no interest for me. Apologies, but I feel sure that you want honest comment.
