About the Image(s)

This picture was taking in Norway looking into one of the fjords, Fujifilm XH1 18-135 lenses. I like it in black and white creating filling of north and drama.

This image has a good story. Drama is created by the dark clouds and rain and the brightness of the valley rain. The person looking at the scene draws more attention to the rainy valley and sky. I like the scene a lot. But, I do feel the clouds in the background and on the right mountain may be a little over edited.   Posted: 03/04/2023 18:10:24

Oh, boy! After a few seconds viewing, my eye was drawn to her legs, then her pants, then to the amplified version in the mountains. I had trouble seeing anything else. Mind over matter, perhaps. If the shot had been taken from 10 steps to the right or left, the impression might have been avoided. Just my thought. It is a beautiful mountain vista.   Posted: 03/04/2023 19:18:01

I like your choice of black and white. For me the rock wall brought me to the woman and then down the valley. I agree that the clouds and some of the highlights look a little bright.   Posted: 03/07/2023 20:20:26

Interesting image of misty mountains I agree with Jon Perhaps darkening her pants would help let our eyes move off her rear
There seems to be a halo around the front of the left rounded peak mountain with white rock I also see some halo on the right around a black outcropping Were selections made in these areas? Did you add mist?   Posted: 03/08/2023 15:13:11

No I did not add anything in this picture, probably it is appeared after changing color to black and white.   Posted: 03/08/2023 15:35:52

It looks like a beautiful scene. Having the lady looking out over the view certainly makes the image more interesting. I noticed the halo on the mountains as well. Did you try some different bw options? It might solve the problem of her pants being a little too bright. I feel like your blacks are too black and when contrasting with the whites (such as the lichen on the stone wall), gives a heavy, dark feel to the image. I'm not sure if that's what you were looking for?

Nice wet misty scenery as we do not see this kind of view in our regions. If the subject is the woman, I think it is OK to leave it as it show the windy and wet environment. B&W give it a mysterious feeling.   Posted: 03/11/2023 06:38:20
