Tile Cutter by Judy Merson

October 2020 - Tile Cutter

About the Image(s)

My Oct image I call Tile Cutter Taken handheld in February 2020 on my Sony a6400 with Sony 90 mm macro GOSS lens ISO 4000 f 3.2 1/4000
I brought it into LRCC basic then Topaz Sharpen and then PSCC to clone out some parts and add space under his right foot which was too close to the bottom edge I replaced the bright overcast sky with a western sky of mine in Luminar 4

Nice picture, but very poor replacing sky, You have sky on the ladder, shirt and roof, I use PS Camera raw picture to improve picture, I could not correct sky replacing at this stage.   Posted: 10/11/2020 00:31:28

I like the composition and subject, and I like the increased saturation that Leonid applied.   Posted: 10/11/2020 19:24:56

It is a great capture subject wise, but the image as is feels flat to me. Leonid's suggestion of saturating does help. You may want to try playing with the contrast of the image over all as well. Also maybe sharpening the details in some areas.   Posted: 10/12/2020 10:43:38

I like the composition and the sharpness of the focus. You nicely captured the cutter's concentration as he navigates the roof. You might try lightening his face a bit to more emphasize this feature.   Posted: 10/12/2020 11:34:37

I agree with the others. The background is brighter than the subject. Your composition is good. I like the fact you caught him with one foot in the air as he takes a step.

Thank you all for your comments Now I know I have to check after replacing a sky Luminar 4 allows adjustments but I did not look closely enough I like the increased saturation Leonid shows   Posted: 10/12/2020 13:27:49
