About the Image(s)
I took a photograph a few years ago using colored gels on speed lights to shoot multifaceted glass cubes. This is another attempt to do the same with a cup and saucer. One light was fitted with a blue, one with an orange gel. I moved the cup and the lights until I saw a view I liked. In retrospect, I might have focus stacked the shots to bring everything into focus. Perhaps next time. Nevertheless, I hope you find the result interesting.

What a nice way to emphasize the beauty of cut glass. The nice light on the table top further increase my enjoyment of the shot. I agree that the image could be improved if it were sharper throughout.   Posted: 10/03/2020 19:12:37

Very cool. I like the colors and the experimentation!! I agree with Dorinda and was going to suggest you crop it in. The background is certainly less interesting than the cup and saucer and that is where I would direct my focus.   Posted: 10/12/2020 10:41:53

Thanks all for your comments. I considered cropping more heavily than I ended up doing largely because the blue flash that plays a minor role on the subject produced an effect on the background that I liked. The cropping and color adjustment diminishes that effect.   Posted: 10/12/2020 11:19:18
