About the Image(s)

I took this picture long time ago, during our trip to Kenia and Zanzibar. This picture was taking in Zanzibar with Nikon D70, I do not remember the setting. In this time when we are staying home, I decided to rework my old picture with my greater knowledge of the Photoshop. Additional I used Topaz program. So this is my May image.

I like the fact that this has a very natural and authentic feel to it.   Posted: 05/04/2020 18:13:24

Lovely image. I like the placement of the boat in the image but (and I rarely do this) I would recommend flipping it horizontally so the boat is heading left-to-right. I did lighten the sails and boat little to help them stand out from the background. Also, I enhanced the saturation of the water a little. I did not want to over do the saturation, just bring a little of the beautiful color back into the image.   Posted: 05/04/2020 20:49:30

An absolutely beautiful image Glorious sky sparkling clear water I think it works no matter which way the boat faces I like what Dorinda did to the sail and boat   Posted: 05/04/2020 21:28:38

It is almost a reflex to have objects pointed to the right, but in this case, the mast tilted upward to the right in Leonid's original provides me with a comfortable rightward feeling.   Posted: 05/05/2020 15:07:53

I could go either way, but in the version I suggested, the mast tilting right makes a triangular point with the bow of the boat, forming an arrow pointing right. I just like it better. As Leonid has presented, it works either way.   Posted: 05/05/2020 15:17:09

Very enjoyable photo whether it is on a starboard tac or on a port tac. It would be lovely hanging on a large somer
home's wall.   Posted: 05/09/2020 17:16:51

I agree with Robert. I wouldn't flip it, because the right orientation works. I think it is a great image and love the subject. I like the contrast of the light blue water close to the very cloudy sky. Nicely done.   Posted: 05/19/2020 10:09:32

Excellent shot! I love the composition and the drama conveyed by the textures of the sky and sail. If anything, I might lighten the shoreline trees to bring out some of the texture there which is hidden by darkness.   Posted: 05/22/2020 12:59:02
