Skyway Bridge by Tom Carnahan

November 2019 - Skyway Bridge

About the Image(s)

The bridge was reconstructed in the ‘80s after a freighter hit it in the fog. Length is 7 miles and the southern end can hot be seen due to the distance and my vantage point. Approximately 7 photos were used in the panorama . A part of the approach from the north was left on for perspective . Time of the photo was approximately 9:00 A.M. under ideal conditions.

Interesting view of the bridge. I think it is too far away and the water lacks interest I would crop in more and increase contrast in the clouds   Posted: 11/11/2019 20:57:33

I would crop in from the right and crop it where there is a break in the tree formations. I think that will make the composition more interesting. As Judy said, the water isn't very interesting and the focus should be more on the bridge.   Posted: 11/12/2019 10:15:52

I understand that it is a panorama picture, but could crop on both sides and a little on the bottom.   Posted: 11/12/2019 13:02:15

What an amazing subject! Unfortunately for me the bridge is too small in the image to really enjoy it. I do love the clouds and the light on the bridge.

I agree with those suggesting cropping to emphasize the bridge.   Posted: 11/29/2019 14:06:20

OK, OK, I finally got the message and see your concerns so I have submitted an alternate photo with only a bit of the approach to the bridge and a mych larger bridge . Let me know what you think. this was delayed as my computer was on the fritz for a while. See you in Dec. 2019   Posted: 11/30/2019 12:04:31
