Pastel Iris Dewy by Bob Legg

March 2023 - Pastel Iris Dewy

About the Image(s)

“Pastel Iris Dewy”. Taken in Spring of 2021 in Virginia. A beautiful fine dew had visited overnight and I was in heaven working the subjects. Per recent usual, I was using my 200-500 on the tripod and shot at 500mm, ISO640, f9.0 and 1/500 sec. It was just after 7AM and the wind was picking up already, therefore the high iso and S/S. I processed in Topaz Studio using the Blur Background to capture the Background Bokeh and most recently used Topaz Sharpen to sharpen the dew drops.

Indeed, a fine dew. I like how the micro droplets reflect and refract the light. The bokeh turned out well too. Wouldn't change anything.   Posted: 03/15/2023 21:44:14

Very nice. I love the color and the dew. Makes me want to check out the blur background in Topaz.   Posted: 03/20/2023 19:33:51

What a beauty - nice composition, and gorgeous colours. The only thing I would suggest is to remove Iris in the background on the left side. My eyes are drawn to it a bit. Well done, Bob   Posted: 03/21/2023 10:07:00
