October 2019 - Old Car Detail

About the Image(s)

Before the PSA Conference, we spent time in the Palouse and had a cloudy day which was a good time to go to Sprague to photograph some old trucks. This is a detail from one of the many trucks. I used my Olympus EM5 Mark II and 60mm/2.8 macro lens. Settings were: SS 1/500, ISO 800, aperture f9. I processed it in Elements and used Topaz restyle to get the color effect. There were other colors, but some were too close to the original or too wild even for me!

This truck needs to go to the dentist for a lot of grill work. Excellent color palette choices. Sharp and interesting. Great job. I gotta get to Sprague and Ritzville, and Lind has a Combine Demolition Derby sponsored by the Lions Club. Hee Haw!   Posted: 10/10/2019 19:09:19

Very nice shot, love the colors and hue of it - I would never have thought of photographing this subject or perhaps not as a close up.   Posted: 10/15/2019 02:31:01

I love this. Colors are fabulous. It is very sharp and perfect. I would crop it to get that main area out of the center.   Posted: 10/16/2019 11:36:47

I like the balance of color (weight) better in the original. Just my opinion.   Posted: 10/17/2019 07:27:07
