About the Image(s)

I used Nikon D700. Nikkor 70-200 mm @ 120mm. Shutter priority mode, 1/250 sec @ f2.8. ISO 640.Handheld. I am pleased with the graceful lines presented by the dancers.
Please give me your comments.Thanks

I think this is a nice sharp image. The position of the dancers is handled well. B & W emphasises the drama. Nice job.

Very nice image, love the form the dancers and just right sharpness of the image on the black background. The only thing that "bothers" a bit me is the horizontal object at knee height, it does not seem to "fit" in the scene perhaps because I don't know what it is. Perhaps also the last line below the floor? This one does not detract my eye from the image though. Love the shot!   Posted: 10/06/2018 19:18:54

Beautiful image. I love the black and white. I agree with Stephan about the horizontal object. I think it is better without it.   Posted: 10/07/2018 14:23:37

Hi, I am visiting from Monochrome Group 32, so naturally I was interested to see this striking image. Please tell us a little more about the circumstances--was it a performance, or a rehearsal, or posed shots? What venue and what company?
I know it's hard to catch dancers or actors in action just right, and you did very well on this. One point to try to improve next time--the woman's arm blocks the man's face.   Posted: 10/09/2018 14:54:48

Tam, you are very good at capturing stage scenes. The only thing I think is a problem is the one mentioned by Steven Levitas - that the woman's arm is blocking the man's face.   Posted: 10/14/2018 20:16:00

Black and white is a very good choice for this. It really stands out as monochrome. I agree on the horizontal object since it detracts from the dancers. Also, it would be better to not have the arm blocking the face. You do so well with these type of images.   Posted: 10/15/2018 20:24:30

Good job once again. Very nice curves and lines. I know it is very sharp, as I can see the detail in the officers barracks cover. I too am bothered by the merger in his knee, but not so much by the hidden face, since I think you were going for their lines.   Posted: 10/17/2018 13:01:39
