About the Image(s)

In February 2020, I went to a photo workshop in Morelia, Mexico. We concentrated on the people, both in portrait and street photography. On this particular day, we traveled by car to Santa Clara del Cobre about an hour from Morelia. Our plan was to photograph coppersmith workers at a local workshop as the town is well known for quality copper wares and also do some family portraits.

As we approached, we heard Mariachi music, stopped the car and got out to photograph. A quinceaƱera celebration was going down the street towards the local church. I took as many pictures as I could and this was the best. I enjoyed the festivities and people, then we went on to our scheduled photography sites. This entire week-long workshop was wonderful and I took many, many pictures, both posed and spontaneous.

How fun. I might suggest cropping out the sky. It may bring the focus more directly on the musicians. Well done   Posted: 04/10/2021 16:45:35

I love the facial expressions of the fellows in the main image. I agree with Deborah, either replace the background or crop the top to more of a pano. orientation. All four of the pictures are nice, and tell the story well. Looks like you were in the right place at the right time.

Always fun when you get involved with the local party. I would take out the sky also. The photos make a nice story board.   Posted: 04/14/2021 15:56:21
