About the Image(s)

I listened to the May 14, 2020 PSA webinar by Lisa Cuchara and she explains Wabi Sabi techniques. This is a Japanese term of “beauty of the imperfect”. I set up my tripod after it got dark and took close to a 100 pictures of flowers in my background. I used my flashlight to light up the flowers. In LR, I adjusted the exposure, clarity and dehazed it. Tech info: 30 seconds, f/8, ISO 200. I took several pictures with these settings and eliminated the withered flower in the upper right corner, but it is there in this version. It was a fun experiment and I will keep trying this technique.

Interesting experiment Kathy. I have found that light painting at night with a flashlight is no easy task, and to have the correct lighting I usually have to take multiple shots, changing the length of time of the light up. The lighting on these flowers looks just about perfect.   Posted: 09/22/2020 07:40:13
