The Arch by Steve Jacobs

September 2020 - The Arch

About the Image(s)

A group of us had come to the Arch to shoot. When we got there, it was heavy overcast and really flat light. Many went home or somewhere else to shoot. The ones that stayed were in for a treat.

I was so happy I stayed. Living about a 100 miles from the Arch I don’t get this chance a lot. This light lasted about 3 minutes. I had decided to shoot this location at sunset no matter the light( it could always make a good black and white). Sometimes the photo Gods just smile down on you.

A perfect picture with beautiful lighting. Glad you stayed and got it. I would lighten up the reflection portion just a bit to better show off the sky reflected in it.   Posted: 09/17/2020 17:39:32

Kathy,
Thank you for the input I will give it a try. I seem to go back to this photo and adjust something every time I look at it.   Posted: 09/20/2020 11:09:08
