About the Image(s)

I hope this finds you well and at contentment with your photography. It sounds as if this COVID-19 virus will be around for a while and that we will have to learn how to live with it.

Image Information: shot 04/13/2020, my yard, Iso 640, f-13, 1/350th (windy morning), setting auto, at 300mm, matrix metering.

Processing: camera raw, increased fill light, then in photoshop, sent it to topaz details, micro-contrast (after selecting just the front foliage), and then resized.

The dogwoods have had a rather brief blooming time this year and optimum shooting days have not been many. This was shot on one of the windy, cloudy and rainy days, during a spell of relative calmness. I like this shot the best of several.

Wanda good to have a backyard in these difficult times. Great shot, sharp and full of colour.   Posted: 05/03/2020 21:04:00

Thank you Geoffrey Wiggins, and yes, it's good to have plenty of space during these times. I feel blessed in many ways.   Posted: 05/13/2020 17:33:22

Beautiful picture. I like how the leaves and the flower are super sharp and look extremely well against the blurred background.   Posted: 05/15/2020 19:46:54

Wanda outstanding. I can feel the leaves and petals, the light on my face and spring in the air, Yes the dogwood bloom was short this year here also, I missed it because of other life things. SO thank you for capturing such a wonderful image.   Posted: 05/27/2020 08:34:19
