About the Image(s)

The December topic was Winter Lights. This is a merger of two photos with the help of Topaz Mask AI. I think other programs do as just as well if not better. Merged in Paintshop Pro. I wanted something a little different than just the neighborhood lights. Happy New Year to all with wishes for a healthy and happy 2021.

I was quite taken by this image as I was scrolling through the Current Images thumbnails and decided to drop by for a closer look. You have a clever idea and I think it is mostly carried out quite well.

I would offer one suggestion to make it a bit more believable. I would clone out the single orange and two red lights found on the white rim of the jar. The image shows the lights in the jar and flowing out of the top. Those three lights should be inside the jar and not outside on the rim. Just a thought.

Your clubs has definitely set you some interesting challenges for while movement is restricted. Well done in photographing and combining the images too create your final one. Following on from what Larry has said I would go a little further and clone out all the lights and wires that are in front of the rim of the jar.   Posted: 01/14/2021 08:19:50

Thank you for the best wishes, and this image. Very fun. I agree with Larry and Jon. I am wondering if you the lights outside the jar could be more of a starburst - like on f16 - as the lights "escape" to become "stars"?

Happy New Year everyone!   Posted: 01/14/2021 14:55:22

Pretty cool image and you have done a nice job! I like Larry's and Jon's suggestion and it would help believability. I also might crop a little off the left, you can keep the jar in the left third and remove some of the black space.   Posted: 01/15/2021 11:34:06

I think his is a fund image and I would leave it the way it is.   Posted: 01/21/2021 15:49:05
