About the Image(s)

It was early in the morning after rain; the clouds were hanging low.
The original photograph was under exposed, but I lit it up and cropped it somewhat in LR.

Wow, what an amazing difference from the original! It makes me think twice about keeping some photos. Such nice soft light, and the fog is just in the right places, with the tree on the left on the third line for composition. You have a water drop or lens spot on the tree on the far right. That can be taken out in Photoshop if you zoom in - try the content aware or you can clone stamp it from another tree. What is the curved white line hanging from a tree on the lower left corner? The colors in this are beautiful. You could give them more pop with more contrast, perhaps Dehaze in Lightroom or Camera Raw Filter in Photoshop.   Posted: 11/05/2019 20:12:40

Looking at you original image, it helps to confirm the value of my process of putting all images though the auto processing in Lightroom - it does not create perfect results but it brings out the potential of the image by enhancing detail in both the shadow and sky areas, and then encourages you to enhance it further. I really like the recession and clouds you have in the distant hills and the range of autumn colours that you have in the closer trees. The water drop on the tree does not bother me too much but is relatively easy to eliminate. Personally I find the central lamp and the light pan to the right being slightly distracting I would be inclined to clone them out.

I like this image a lot Jan. The other thing that bothers me is that water spot or dirt on the tree on the right.   Posted: 11/14/2019 15:15:11

Very nice image and I agree with Jon, remove the lamp posts. The colors are very nice and the clouds and mountains are my favorite part.   Posted: 11/20/2019 11:05:32

There is a nice story here of trees towering over the immaculate gardens with the misty hills and lake in the distance. Lampposts are ok with me. Just part of the story   Posted: 11/27/2019 00:26:06
