About the Image(s)

Taken a the Hebden Bridge Steam Punk Weekend, on my Xpro2 with 18-55mm lens - 1 /75sec,f6.4 ISO 400.

Basic corrections were made in Lightroom, then into Photoshop the background was cleaned up and softened. The couple were selectively sharpened using High Pass, 2 black and white conversion layers applied then minor curves and levels.

Wow, great sharp, crisp detail. Love it in Black and white. I gotta try that High Pass Sharpening as I like how it worked here. Nice job at cleaning up and softening the background as it really makes the couple "pop". Nice. You seem to have the best weekend photo opts. Double nice.   Posted: 09/06/2019 11:29:00

Fun image. I like it much better in B&W with the distractions softened. There is good separation of the subjects from the background. The is great that you removed the people in the background.   Posted: 09/07/2019 09:11:56

I am very impressed with your skill in post! Taking out the people is not an easy process. This picture is great. Very well done.   Posted: 09/07/2019 17:41:39

The conversion to monochrome and the cropping were effective steps to make this a great portrait. Love the smile of the girl's face. The "decisive moment"   Posted: 09/18/2019 14:06:49

I think it works good as a B&W and a color image. The best part is that you really simplified the image which helped a lot!   Posted: 09/18/2019 22:08:15
