About the Image(s)
There was a lot to photograph on my trip to the Dolomites last Autumn. I also tried to find photos with my telephoto lens, being different from the regular views. Here is an example. Just a simple composition, but I like the layering and the colors from the sunset. I actually took a bit wider shot, so I cropped the photo in post to get a composition more to my liking (as I did not like the grass in the FG). Too much?

I actually prefer the original crop. The more pano view enhances the layers more by showing more curved lines, in my opinion.   Posted: 03/04/2023 14:35:16
Thanks for the input Bob!   Posted: 03/10/2023 00:23:21
Nice capture of layers! I can go from the foreground to the mountains in the background and find different shapes and tones. I tend to agree with Bob that the more panoramic version enhances the curved lines, even if you don't like the grass. It can be my monitors, but I would open up a little bit the foreground.   Posted: 03/06/2023 17:52:44

Thank you Kirsti, will certainly have a look again at the original and crop from below..   Posted: 03/10/2023 00:24:43
I also vote for the original with a little crop off the bottom. The colors in the sky are magnificent.
I particularly like the way you have composed to show the hills rolling from left to right   Posted: 03/09/2023 11:23:32

To me the original image appears to contain more layers and balanced on both sides. The colors and tonality change from the foreground to the sky look nice. I also prefers the original photo.   Posted: 03/19/2023 10:49:57
