About the Image(s)

At a nearby train museum, trying to get out amid the pandemic in an open place before the museum closed for the season, and to practice with my new camera. Base photo was at ISO 200, 67 mm, and f9.0 on a tripod. The camera was positioned as low as i could get with my tripod, and I took 3 exposures to combine in Aurora HDR. In PS, i then removed the pole coming out of one of the engines, added amore useful sky, rather than the blank one, added contrast, and darkened the rails.

In my opinion the leading lines from by the rail definitely work and my attention is drawn to the trains. Your HDR is doing an excellant job as I can see details from the shadowy part of the image. I think by adding contarst and brightness, on top of the blue sky with clouds, you have created an impressive picture.   Posted: 11/09/2020 05:59:32

The X of the tracks make this picture really appealing. You have done well with your post process and the new sky really helps to add interest to the bald sky.   Posted: 11/14/2020 13:12:14

A very graphic composition, with the tracks creating interesting diagonals leading to the main subjects. Although the image has a "grunge" feeling, it's still not over the top. I agree with the elimination of the pole and the adding of the sky, which looks very natural. Maybe you could make the sky not so dark and more vibrant.   Posted: 11/14/2020 16:06:22
