About the Image(s)

The picture was taken in a park near my home in Florida. The park is right on the Intra Costal Waterway. I took the picture with my Nikon D200 with a Nikkor 18-200 lens at 200mm, ISO400, and 1/640, f5.6. It was processed in On One software. I increased the highlight and decreased the shadows, increased some whites. I then transferred it to photoshop where I cloned out some spots and distracting branches.

A very striking bird with great natural gift of being quickly camouflaged. I wish the blue was behind it instead of the shrubbery, but a different angle might not have been possible. I suggest reducing the sharpness, especially around the bird's head. There seems to be alot of grain in the blue so maybe reducing sharpness will help that too.   Posted: 01/20/2020 09:46:53

I agree with Belinda; the bird seems over sharpened. Great exposure and contrast.   Posted: 01/20/2020 11:18:05
