Nice composition with classic image. Think the top of the middle spire could be included.   Posted: 02/11/2021 18:11:29

Abe I am a little jealous. This a part of the world that I have always wanted to visit. You really did a nice job with the colors. Too bad you had to take this looking up. It tends to bring the image in at the top. I agree with Bob's observation about the spiral sneaking out the top. For cosmetics you could clone the little bit of the spiral out and give some space at the top. Tack sharp, really great colors and clarity. In my opinion a really fine job!   Posted: 02/16/2021 18:52:31

I think this is a beautiful capture of the subject. Everything seems to be sharp and the colors are stunning. Since I did not know this subject, and also wondered why the top was cut off, I looked at many other versions online. The fact is that the top would include nothing more than a very tall thin "wire" holding up a thin cross-piece, and would have, for me, the effect of minimizing the building for the sake of seeing a lot more sky with a relatively uninteresting cross. As for the slight keystoning, I suppose you could tweak the perspective to straighten things, but I don't think it would make a meaningful difference.   Posted: 02/19/2021 17:42:25

Thank you all for you kind words and good suggestions. I simply "fix" it by adding small portion of sky on the top.   Posted: 02/21/2021 10:41:08

I'm surprised that works so well. I really like it that way.   Posted: 02/21/2021 13:50:48

I was in Moscow several years ago and this is a very good image of the top of the church. The colors are very realistic and the composition is good, but the keystoning bothers me. The fact there are some clouds in the sky adds some interest to the background. I tried to remove the keystoning using the transform tool in LR. As you can see in the result it straightened things but cut off the spire on the top, which is a easy fix since you have more sky to add.I also would do a little dodging on the tower on the right to bring the color out a bit.   Posted: 02/23/2021 13:47:53

A good example of how a small correction like the keystoning as you did can really make a difference. It seemed to me that it was too slight to matter, but when I see your result I am really impressed.   Posted: 02/23/2021 19:54:15
